UNESCO CHAIR. 2020 International Congress: “Improving living conditions for displaced people and the challenges of the Colombian transition”
The Externado de Colombia University and its UNESCO Chair, “Human Rights and violence: public policies and governance” invites the community to participate in this academic event, which will take place on November 19th and 20th, from 8:00 to 13.00.
This Congress will have international lecturers and professors from a variety of universities and regions. The invited professors, who specialize in different disciplines, will present their research on the definitive solutions to the displacement situation, and the Peace Agreement implementation from the perspective of justice and restoration.
The event will be on Zoom, on November 19th and 20th. There will be eight international lecturers and four workshops in which the public will be invited to participate and deliberate.
The workshops’ topics are the following:
- “Internal displacement participatory policy-making”
- “Special Jurisdiction for Peace, restorative justice and integral reparation”
- “Internal displacement and public policies in-situ”
- “In-visibles: lessons and challenges from restorative justice”
During the Congress, we will be presenting and sharing the book, “Reflections for a bottom-up design of public policies related to internal displacement in Colombia”, and the 5th edition of our MOOC on Penal Abolitionism.
The event is open to the public, but registration is required for this Zoom webinar. Please write an email to catedraunesco@uexternado.edu.co
